Forsberg leaves the NHL for the year.
I guess it's not exaggerating to say he's my favorite thing about watching hockey. It was already bad enough that his contract with my favorite team was up this year, but now he won't even be playing in the country.
I don't guess these Swiss games will come in on my television. Will they be streamed anywhere? I mean, the Sedins, Naslund, Sundstrom, all will be playing on the team too---the games will probably be a blast to watch.
No time for a full rant about the CBA and the whole situation with the league, and I'm not very knowledgeable about it anyway. I don't have very positive feelings toward either side of these negotiations. Watching millionaires fight over their millions just kind of turns my stomach. That just a gut reaction, though. It's entirely possible that the players' complaints about the owners, basically that they are greedy and in many senses are manufacturing a financial crisis where there doesn't have to be one, could be true. I'm not that interested in finding out. But I do hope that I'll be able to watch some hockey this season, and I do hope that Forsberg will return after a year at Modo.
