There seems to be a problem with the floppy drive---when I tried to put a floppy in, there was a sound like Junior's homework being crumpled up by the teacher, and me being me, I kept pushing the floppy in, and now it's stuck. The computer does not see the floppy disk. I'll have to work on that one. But if this thing's worst problem is that the floppy drive is broken, I still feel like I got a good deal.
Installing Debian on it now. Tried debootstrap from a Knoppix CD. That did not work. I got error messages saying that there were problems encountered while unpacking two pacakges. Now I am trying the knoppix-installer script. We'll see if that works.
