New book notifications

There are many services out there to let me know when an event that I might be interested in is happening in my area: sites like http://eventful.com, http://upcoming.org and http://tourfilter.com. I find these sites very useful and I've definitely gone to shows that they've notified me about, and I feel like I wouldn't have known about them otherwise.

At the bookstore recently, I stumbled on the most recent John Ashbery book, A Worldly Country. Despite the fact that he is maybe my favorite poet, I had no idea that he had a new collection out. Does anyone know of a service like tourfilter that would notify me of new books by specific authors? There is probably something at Amazon...
