Nuke it from orbit—it's the only way to be sure approach to, well, everything, the Boston police blew up a traffic counter attached to a street sign because they thought it might be...something else. This action caused my bus to be diverted on my way into work. My driver thought (maybe partly tongue-in-cheek, maybe not) that the news media phoned it in. I guess I can see some reporters doing that and then snickering from the alley as they watch, perhaps exchanging some money according to the odds placed for and against the proposition of,
Will they blow it up? Kind of like when we used to play,
Will he eat it? as kids.
