|Edgar Degas on painting

Great quote from Edgar Degas in today's Art Quote of the Day.
"Painting is easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do."
In many ways I feel this with poetry as well. However, I don't feel it with
programming. This despite the fact that programming feels artistic to me while
doing it. Yet as I learn more, it seems to get easier, not harder.
The more I learn about poetry, the more difficult it gets to write, in some
ways. Maybe this is only because I am in different places on the learning
curves. Though you may not think so from my poetry, I am much farther ahead on
studying poetry than I am on hacking.
